It matures for at least 10 years in ex Bourbon and Virgin American Oak casks and is bottled at 46% vol. alcohol. This gives this Islay Single Malt a special depth of the unmistakable Islay aromas. It is a limited edition from independent bottler Hunter Laing and is bottled without chill filtration and without colouring. Hunter Laing describes the Scarabus series as follows:
